Day 01 : Tangier - Chefchaouen

We will travel through the northern Atlas mountains traveling along the Ziz River Valley where we will take frequent stops to observe the picturesque view of mountains, valleys, river scenes, Ziz Gorge, oasis, and a large reservoir. We will pass through the town of Er Rachidia as we head east to the Sahara Desert town of Merzouga. We will spend the night in a hotel with the Great Erg Chebbi Dunes just out the back door of the hotel where you can venture on foot to explore the smaller dunes.

Day 04 : Merzouga - Rissani - Merzouga

Today we put our 4 x 4 vehicle to work. We will travel into the Sahara desert a unique environment full of unusual attractions and the simple nomadic Berber people. We will stop at Sirji Lake and its white birds. We will visit the home of some Berber nomads and learn about their culture. Near lunchtime we will enter Rissani where we will have a short visit to the market of Sijilmassa, We will have lunch in a local restaurant, After lunch, it’s back to Merzouga to greet our camels who are waiting to take us on another adventure in the sand dunes, This will be much slower travel into the dunes to spend the night in a bivouac (tents) fully equipped for the night spent in the heart of the Sahara, Trek to the top of the nearest dune to watch the sunset and enjoy the traditional dinner overnight in desert camp.

Day 05: Merzouga - Fes

Rise to the stunning sunrise over the Sahara Desert, camel trek back to the hotel, and have breakfast. Begin our travels back. We will spend the night in Fes.

Day 06: Fes - Tangier Port

Travel to the port of Tangier for departure.
